The Comeng is a class of electric multiple unit EMU trim that has operated on Melbourne's suburban railway network since 1981, built by Commonwealth Engineering.
Initially introduced to replace older Tait and Harris trains, the fleet is now being retired and replaced by new High Capacity Metro Trains (HCMTs) and X'Trapolis 2.0 trains. Comeng trains have undergone two major refurbishments to extend their lifespan, but their replacement is scheduled to be complete by 2030.
